Murray Gets Maximum Sentence: Four Years

Justice has been served.

Today, Judge Pastor brought down the hand of Justice on Conrad Murray. Here is the statement from the Estate about today’s sentencing:

Michael Jackson’s death was a huge loss to his children, his family, and his fans worldwide. A jury determined Michael’s untimely passing was caused by Conrad Murray.  Dr. Murray in pre-trial statements and in a post-trial documentary expressed no remorse or responsibility for Mr. Jackson’s death. The Estate of Michael Jackson believes that the sentence imposed on Conrad Murray by Judge Pastor was appropriate and called for. The egregious conduct of Dr. Murray when “treating” Michael Jackson was bad enough but when coupled with his outrageous lies in trying to cover up his wrongdoing after Michael was dying and/or had died only served to magnify his criminal actions. Michael Jackson was the one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived and he will be missed by millions.

This, of course, leaves out the facts that he will get NO house arrest and NO probation. The judge has set another date that will determine the amount of restitution he will need to pay.

Official Statement from the Fans of Michael Jackson on the Conrad Murray Trial Verdict

“The Truth runs Marathons”
Michael Jackson

Today, after a long and intense trial, the jury in the Conrad Murray involuntary manslaughter case has rendered a ‘Guilty’ verdict. Around the world, fans and supporters of Michael Jackson extend their sincere gratitude to the jurors who put their lives on hold to serve their community.

Michael Jackson fans would like to thank the Honorable Judge Pastor, who ensured that this trial remained centered solely on the actions of Conrad Murray on June 25, 2009, rather than being reduced to a sensationalized media event. We also extend our deepest gratitude to DDA David Walgren and DDA Deborah Brazil for the outstanding vigor, focus and professionalism in which they pursued this case.

The Michael Jackson fan base has waited for over two years for this verdict. While the majority were anxious for the trial to begin and conclude with a conviction of Conrad Murray, we were also keenly aware that this trial would inevitably place the media microscope on Michael Jackson. For weeks we have watched and listened as mainstream media ignored the clear facts stated in Michael Jackson’s autopsy and toxicology reports, and the corroborating testimony given by various experts, that he died from acute propofol intoxication; preferring instead to speculate about issues unrelated to the crucial events of June 25, 2009.

Conrad Murray’s choice to ignore standard and essential safety procedures when applying a demonstrably inappropriate drug to treat his insomnia, led directly to Mr Jackson’s death. As the testimonies of Dr. Alon Steinberg, Dr. Nadar Kamangar and Dr. Steven Shafer attest, if not for Murray’s egregious deviations from the standard of care, Michael Jackson would have been alive today.

We, the undersigned, continue pledging our support to Michael Jackson’s artistic and humanitarian legacy and our love to his family, especially his three beloved children. His message is still very relevant today, and as we steadfastly push ahead without him, we are determined to live his message and carry it on to the next generation.

Today, although there is some semblance of justice, we truly believe when the media stops sensationalizing Michael Jackson’s life and death to the frenzied masses and show truthful understanding of the man, then and only then, will Michael Jackson receive true justice.

So You’re Looking for Updates on the Trial…

Well, I won’t write but a few thoughts I have on the hearsay from Twitter (because that’s where it’s quickest to know what’s happening, given people that I follow insist upon giving the rundown minute by minute), but if you are looking for in-depth thinking, and perhaps a little longer write-up, you have come to the right place for links to those sites that do such!

First off, there is a matter at hand that if you are not aware of, you need to be aware of and notify everyone around you of this; the time has come to boycott HLN. They are using re: 2005 tactics and, “surprisingly” are putting Michael’s life under a microscope for all to gawk at.

The following is a newsletter sent out to all those who subscribe to the MJ Truth Now Newsletter:

With the trial of Conrad Murray
underway, it has been a tough few days for supporters of Michael Jackson. While
Judge Pastor masterfully controls proceedings in the courtroom to reflect that
Murray is the man on trial for involuntary manslaughter of the victim, Michael
Jackson, the media is busy outside the courtroom once again putting Michael
Jackson on trial.

When recently considering the
defense’s motion to sequester the jury to protect them from Nancy Grace, Judge
Pastor rejected the motion. He trusted the jury to act responsibly by not
pursuing information about the case outside the courtroom. In making the
decision he had this to say about the media, “Talking heads frequently talk out
of other parts of the body.”

The audio recording of Michael speaking played during the first day of the trial,
invited pundits to weigh in on their opinion that he was a drug addict. Hosts on
HLN were using terms such as “junkie,” “addict,” and “king of dope” in reference
to Michael based on one recording. HLN and TruTV, in particular, have no
interest in focusing on the trial of Dr. Murray. They are devoted to turning it
into a trial examining Michael Jackson’s life.

The public should wake up, trust
their own ability to evaluate what they see and hear, and discard these cut-rate
pundits, self-styled experts and fakirs whose purpose is not to inform, but to
lead viewers by the nose to advertisers. We do not need Grace and her one
dimensional cartoon colleagues — Velez-Mitchell, Behar, Positan, Ryan, Dimond,
and Pop Doc Drew to explain the Conrad Murray Trial, what we are seeing and how
we should feel about it. Anyone interested in seeing the Justice System at work
and unfiltered should watch on free streaming video and come to your own

Thank you,

I know I’m stating the obvious here, the prosecution is roasting themselves really. The lies and inconsistencies are so incredibly stupid that one can count on Dr. Murder and his team of idiots lying their way through the entire thing and coming out with a sentence. I mean I’ve heard some really dumb stuff, as I’m sure we all have been shaking our heads through our tears. But having the faith that justice will be served is a provider of comfort for some.

Here are those links I promised…

Day Two:

Justice for Michael Jackson

So the Trial is Actually Tomorrow

In an earlier post, I made a mistake, and I apologize for such. I thought that the trial began on the 8th of September, but is actually set to begin tomorrow. As I’ve said before, I won’t be following the trial by watching the news. I will only be hearing my information through credible sources that revolve around the truth and Michael Jackson. Any other media, as far as I’m concerned, is likely to be tainted. Especially if it is any main media outlet who let any old crook be deemed a “Michael Jackson expert”. As a fan who has doused myself in all things Michael Jackson nonstop for the past two years, I don’t even consider myself a Michael Jackson expert, though many have tried to don me so. I won’t accept that, because the only person who has merit enough to be a Michael Jackson expert is the man himself.

Anyways, I’m very cautious of the timing of this trial. In the wake of the Casey Anthony trial and the execution of Troy Davis, justice isn’t showing the face that many of us want to see. We know crimes were committed, but who was deemed guilty and who was not is opposite of what the end results of either cases happened to be.

Will this happen again? Will what we feel needs to happen, not happen? Will the end result break our hearts or lift us up, and because of our elevated feelings, will the message finally be reached that Michael Jackson never was the monster the media made him out to be? I like all others in th MJ community have hope that a “change is gonna come”, but am I the only one who feels that the media will make this into a case about Michael Jackson’s private life, and not about the actual matter at hand? How he died?

Matt Semino, a journalist for the Huff Post is trying his best to help the common citizen only aware of the tabloid aspect of Michael Jackson to remember that the trial is not for Michael Jackson, but for the man who is accused of slaughtering him. The piece is titled “Defending the Victim in the Conrad Murray Trial”. The title explains it all: Not only has Matt Semino written this piece in the hype of the now here, trial, but he has also written a previous piece about Michael shortly after his passing titled “Michael Jackson: Wounded Messenger” which is a beautiful must read for anyone, as well as MJ fans:

As for what to expect from the trial as far as format and the jurors, I think MJJ-777 explains it best in the piece  “And so it begins…” which goes into  interesting detail about the jurors, their ethnicities, and whether or not they are fans of Michael Jackson.

So as always, we can only hope and pray for the best in regards to Michael and his legacy tomorrow and the entire remainder of the trial. An effort to kick off the global feeling of togetherness and love for our fellow MJ community member, tonight (starting at midnight) on Twitter, there will be a Twitterthon to trend the hashtag #Justice4MJ. Please join and show the world and the Jackson family your support for them.

Trial Pushed Back…AGAIN

Unbelievable. That’s the only word I can think of when I hear the news of Dr. Murder’s trial being postponed even further. Why is so much time allowed to pass for a thing like this? Why was it that virtually no time was wasted in the attempt of prosecuting Michael? What on earth is the deal?

As of today, a Los Angeles county judge pushed back the trial until September of this year at the wishes of the defense attorneys representing the devil. Apparently, the defense is not prepared to begin with opening statements, which were to take place this upcoming Monday essentially because the prosecution was hastily breaking down their main arguments. Now, this has to make you wonder– if its taking this long for the defense to come up with a lie to make Conrad Murray seem less guilty than we already know he is 1) it’s not working and 2) something’s gotta give, and I know I’m not the only one who thinks that this is getting out of hand and ridiculous. How can the judge not see through this little rouge? If its taking the defense this long, then you also have to wonder the competence of these attorneys.

All of the blame can be put on the defense. Prosecutors contended the medical experts proposed no new theories, and in fact the defense caused the situation by invoking Murder’s right to a speedy trial. One of the experts told the judge last week that it was impossible to die from ingesting propofol, which was what the defense began the preliminary hearing with as their main argument. Can you say fail?

The jurors selected will now be excused for the May 9th date, and a new panel of jurors will be selected for the September trial.

Once again. Unbelievable.

Peaceful Demonstration of L.O.V.E.

It’s no secret that the upcoming trial will attract wanted and unwanted attention. People from all over will be in attendance, whether looking in from the outside or “reporting” from inside–especially the fans. Instead of a gathered protest for the voicing need of justice to be served, how about a more media-friendly solution to expressing ourselves? How about a peaceful demonstration of love?

Brenda Jenkyns, author of the children’s book Ever After, has proposed the idea for all the fans planning on standing outside the courthouse. Here’s what she said:

Those of you planning on being outside the courthouse to support Mrs. Katherine Jackson and the Jackson family in their attendance at the trial, close your eyes for a moment and picture this:Hundreds of Michael Jackson’s fans from around the world gathered together to demonstrate unity and solidarity with their cause in prayerful, respectful silence.Imagine the family approaching the courthouse for what will, undoubtedly, be a very emotionally-trying several months and encountering hundreds of people with heads bowed in reverent memory of their son and father and brother instead of a seething mass of humanity undulating in angry waves with their clenched fists raised in the air.

Imagine Katherine and Prince, Paris and Blanket walking towards the courthouse in Los Angeles surrounded by silent, mindful people who show their awareness of the solemnity of the occasion by holding banners framing pictures of their son and daddy and words like “You Are Not Alone” and “We Are Here With You” and “We Are The World” and “We Remember Michael” and “Michael’s Army of Love” emblazoned in giant letters across them.

Picture clusters of people singing the words to one of Michael’s many songs with messages of peace and forgiveness, holding hands while singing You Are Not Alone or Heal the World or Hold My Hand or “We can change the world, you don’t have to do it by yourself. We can touch the sky. Gonna take all of us to help. We’re the chosen ones.” Wouldn’t that be more healing than hurling bitter feeling?

And for all of us stuck at home and unable to be in Los Angeles for the trial, wouldn’t our spiritual support for the peaceful demonstration pictured above accompanied by visualizing the most beneficial outcome for all concerned be a more healing substitute for the bitter judgments in which we are currently engaging?

Do you want the world to pay attention to what you are demonstrating for? Prayerful silence is the shot heard ‘round the world … deafening. News crews will be totally speechless … they won’t know what to think or say. It would be so beautiful to watch their dumbfounded faces as they tried to comprehend what they were seeing.

Do we want the world … and Michael’s family … to know that we got it?

Do you want to scare the plain, unsparkly socks off the medialoid?

Do you want to shame the Dimonds and Bashirs and Sneddons right out of their lying little hearts?

It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

Let’s show Michael that we understand his message of L.O.V.E. and we are ready to show the world.

Aphrodite Jones Speaks with Michael’s Doctor

Dr. Patrick Treacy, Michael’s former doctor in Ireland, was recently interviewed by Aphrodite Jones about his thoughts on Propofol and its involvement in the upcoming trial. The Medical Director at the Allesbury Clinic in Dublin is featured many times on Seven’s blog:
