The Month In Review: A Letter For Michael

At last, the end of a stressful month.

Of course, the month began with the continuation of the battle to end that horrendous OWN documentary. Through our hard work and diligence, those plans were successfully thwarted. Is up to us now to keep up this work, because who’s to say the devil won’t show his face again, especially with what would be to come next.

The beginning of the trial for what should be the murder of Michael Jackson took place, and produced, what I would say, the main source of our stress this month. If you’re like me and have only been able to keep up with the bare minimum of notifications,  and don’t have appropriate non-tabloid sources to get your info from, any sites located under “friends of fb4mj” are fine (just as long as listed sources don’t include any tabloids). You can also sign up for MJJStreet’s newsletter, which updates periodically with unbiased details straight from the courtroom.

Next, the boycott of TMZ was introduced, as the spins on the stories from the courtroom are becoming reminiscent of the 2005 trial. That’s why action was taken to boycott TMZ, so as to prevent another demon media convention from dining on the destruction Michael’s name. Of course, this will only get us so far, and we cannot stop for a little progress. Its essential we continue to fight.

On a lighter note, we learned, as of last week, the Hollywood Tonight will be the next single to be released from ‘Michael’. Which may surprise some, but others saw it coming.

All in all, if we’ve ever needed a reason to come together even stronger than ever, it is now. We must do everything in our power to stop the media from turning this into another prosecution of Michael Jackson. We have to. We know he isn’t the one on trial here, Dr. Murder is. So why is it that the media doesn’t seem to get that, and is still after Michael, despite the fact he is no longer here? Why is it that the media is practically giving Dr. Murder a pass on all the torment the media so loves to put celebrities through? Why is the disgusting defense of “self-injection” still being  ushered around with a first class ticket as the facts remain in cargo?

Keep these thoughts and questions in your mind to fuel your anger and pursuit of JUSTICE FOR MICHAEL JACKSON.

Michael Means the World to Us.

Just a little thought…

The beginning of this week marked a particularly meaningful day in Michael Jackson HIStory. From January 15 to January 23, 1985, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie (along side Quincy) produced what would go on to be a song which provided relief to those ravished of famine in Africa: We Are The World. Provided by Seven, here is a nice piece that celebrates all that went into the masterpiece:

Speaking of Michael’s worldliness, I say this knowing that you all are well acquainted with  Michael’s vitiligo and the strife it caused him. And I mean in no way to be insensitive to the subject, or to take the seriousness, but at one point, Michael was virtually all colors a human could be. He was the world.

Unaware of the anniversary of this milestone in pop culture, I had recently came to the thought of what Michael’s vitiligo really represented. I innocently wondered what color many of his fans were. I was thinking of a way to relate the thought into word form, when the sentence “Which color of Michael Jackson are you?” popped into my head, sparking a whole other wave of thought.

love-survives-always:Nate Giorgio : “Recently, I signed with Cirque du Soleil to allow 15 of my pieces to be used in the Michael Jackson IMMORTAL show including “Heal The World” along with many of the ink paintings and special graphics I created for the Opus.”What color of Michael Jackson are you is appropriate for one reason– it puts into perspective the idea that his vitiligo was reflecting of his earthliness and global unity. His work and personality reflected both, and so did his skin! Here you have in this one person, all the colors of the human rainbow, endlessly promoting unity within all races. You look at Michael, and you see what he did throughout his life for the betterment of the human condition, and its easy to see this man could be no other than of the prophetic type. His strife, heartache, pain were reflective of the world, as was his joy, exuberance, and love.

How could it be that this was not noticed before, but instead ridiculed? It’s utterly baffling! Why didn’t the headline “Michael Jackson: A True Global Icon” ever make it in the news when he was alive?

Now, I don’t mean to totally abandon the heartache and pain associated with Michael’s disease because I understand that it teaches us a valuable lesson, but if you really, truly think about it, every aspect of this man is extraordinary. Maybe now, it can be taken as a beautiful and inspiring thing. You know, something to combat the haters’ remarks of “bleached skin”.

How is it that you can have so many extraordinary characteristics in one person and not appreciate them? They are truly uplifting and inspirational things to recognize, not ridicule.

TMZ Boycott: Act Now!

If you’ve noticed, I don’t provide links to TMZ or other tabloid sources, as you and I both know the idiocracy they have for “moral code” and the love to bash MJ. Mess like this is exactly why I choose to take no part:

Once again, TMZ has fabricated a non-story about Michael Jackson comprised of half-truths and assumptions spun and molded into something completely unrepresentative of reality.

While we think it’s important to know what the actual content of the post is, we don’t want to encourage you to visit the TMZ website (remember, every click you make means increased ad revenue for them!), so we’ve reproduced the article here—including a screen capture:

MJ Pushed Dr. To Improperly Give Son Anesthesia
1/13/2011 1:00 AM PST by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned … Michael Jackson subjected one of his children to the same risky medical treatment that eventually killed him.

Sources tell TMZ … Michael cajoled a Las Vegas dentist into performing a procedure on Blanket in July, 2008, that involved putting the boy under anesthesia for 2 hours in a dental office that did not have the necessary permit for anesthesia.

TMZ has obtained internal documents from the Nevada Board of Dental Examiners, which detail Michael Jackson’s interactions with Dr. Mark Tadrissi. According to the documents, Tadrissi told Michael he couldn’t perform the procedure on Blanket because he lacked the permit.

According to the Board’s investigator, Michael didn’t want to hear about permits and told the doctor, “Have an anesthesiologist do whatever type of sedation required.”

Tadrissi capitulated and performed the 2 hour procedure on Blanket … who was 6 years old at the time. An anesthesiologist had Blanket sedated the entire time.

Now here’s where it gets mysterious. The Board — which learned of Tadrissi’s actions after Michael died — initiated a disciplinary action against Tadrissi for allowing Blanket to be anesthetized in his office. The Board also went after Dr. Tadrissi for allowing Michael to receive Propofol in his office, without the proper permit.

Dr. Tadrissi struck a deal with the Board in 2010 in which he was sanctioned. In a draft of the report, the Board based the sanctions on his treatment of both Blanket and Michael. But in the final version of the report Blanket was taken completely out — there is no mention of the boy or his treatment.

One source connected with the investigation tells TMZ … pressure was put on the Board to omit Blanket from the report, and when the final version was issued, the discipline was based solely on Michael’s treatment.

What is this article really telling us? Well, let’s look at the crux of the story as if we’re talking about any parent and child, not Michael Jackson and his son…

• A 6-year-old boy needed a 2-hour dental procedure performed on him that required anesthesia.
• The dentist lacked a permit to perform procedures under anesthesia.
The boy’s father asked the dentist to hire an anesthesiologist (i.e., a doctor licensed to administer anesthesia) to do the sedation.
• The dentist agreed to hire a licensed anesthesiologist, and who then did the sedation on the 6-year-old boy.

In other words, the father acted like any parent with a young child in need of a lengthy dental procedure. Receiving anesthesia for dental care is NOT unusual, even in young children. It is completely normal to want your child to be anesthetized during a 2-hour long procedure, which—if personal experience with dental work is any indication—is likely to be painful. Furthermore, the use of Propofol in dental surgery is extremely common.

Curious about why anesthesia would be used on a young child visiting this dentist? Take a look at these Frequently Asked Questions About General Anesthesia, as provided by The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

An excerpt:

When a child (or a person of any age with a disability) needs extensive dental treatment, general anesthesia is an accepted standard of care. This standard is supported by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The reason a complaint was filed against the dentist wasn’t because of anything the father did wrong—it’s because the dentist didn’t have the right permit to allow the licensed anesthesiologist to administer the anesthetic in his office. Think back to the last time you (or your child) received anesthesia at the dentist: Did you check up on all the intricacies of the dentist’s permits regarding the use of an anesthesiologist in his or her office? I’m guessing you didn’t.

What does TMZ want you to take away from their sensationalized report? Well, that’s simple: They want you (and everyone else who reads their article…and everyone who reads every other article based on their article…and so on) to believe that Michael Jackson was such a horrible father and such a delusional junkie that he forced a doctor to put his son to sleep with the very same drug that wound up killing his dad. And if Michael Jackson is that irresponsible and horrible, how can we believe that he didn’t force another doctor to give him an overdose in June 2009? And really, how can we believe that Michael Jackson just didn’t kill himself, since he obviously didn’t care about his kids?

That’s the subtext! That’s what TMZ and the rest of the tabloid media want you to believe. Why? Because it’s “shocking”, it’s scandalous, it involves a very famous person with a lot of public interest, and, above all, because it will get lots of people—including Michael Jackson fans—to click on their site, leave comments, send the link to other people, and ultimately increase TMZ’s value to advertisers.

The media makes a lot of money off of stories about Michael Jackson. It doesn’t matter whether the story is negative or positive, fact or fiction; the public still eats it up. We saw it in 1982, we saw it in 1987, 1993, 2003, 2005, 2009…and on and on and on. As long as the interest is there, the media will provide a story, even if they have to invent it.

We’re in the midst of a period of time between the preliminary hearings and the trial of the doctor accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. It’s a slow time, news-wise. You’re going to see a lot of trash and nonsense and noise coming out so the media can continue filling their pockets while they wait for the trial to start. Be aware.

The best way to take action against tabloid sites like TMZ is with INACTION.

• Don’t click on any links to their website.
• Don’t share any links to their website.
• Don’t comment on any articles on their website.
• If you follow their posts with an RSS reader (like Google Reader), delete the feed.
• If you’ve liked their page on Facebook, unlike it.
• If you follow them on Twitter, unfollow them.

Every click, every link, and every follower makes TMZ a more valuable company in the eyes of advertisers, and that’s where the money lies. Exercise your voice of opposition be refusing to give TMZ a single additional click.

Who Can Attend the National Conference for Media Reform?

I got an email, and I figured drawing some attention to it might do some good. MJTruthNow sent out a newsletter looking for any volunteers to attend the National Conference for Media Reform. One requirement of their notification states they are speciafically looking for MJ Advocates who live in the Boston area, and are willing to attend the event and report back.

National Conference for Media Reform
Boston, MA
April 8-10, 2011
Event details:

“There’s no other event like the National Conference for Media Reform. It’s simply the biggest conference about media reform, media policy and media activism in the country.

On April 8 -10, 2011, we’ll be focusing on the intersection of media and democracy, exploring the future of journalism and public media, debating the core technologies and politics shaping media policy, and discussing strategies, actions and movement-building techniques for better media.”

If you are willing to attend this event, please contact as soon as you can. It’d be interesting to see what those who are perhaps outside of the MJ community believe about the media, and to know they are testifying the same ideas.

I know we’re not the only ones who know what’s goin’ on.

The Jackson Truth: Reporting Without BS

A production by Larry Nimer, TheJacksonTruth, a channel on Youtube, takes it a step beyond the horrendous lamestream media and reports the news about the hearings without absurd reporting. The program is hosted by Geraldine Hughes, author of ‘Redemption’. The following videos are of Day 1, except for the last one, which is self explanatory.

Preliminary Hearing Takes Place Today… The Countdown to Justice Begins

A little over a year in a half, and here the American Justice system is only just beginning Dr. Murder’s trial.

I can’t help but be disgusted at that fact, because we all know what this trial will transform into. A further provider of fodder for shameless medialoids and tabloids alike. For today starts yet another media circus for Michael.

Unfortunately, we know this part of the story all too well; the minority seems to be those that will really understand who is on trial here, but all those haters and immoral sheep will more than likely ( and once again) put Michael’s life under the microscope of scrutiny. Of course, what is to expect from the culture that can’t accept their son as someone who was taken advantage of multiple times?

There’s no debating whether or not this trial and its coverage will leave more than a few bad tastes in our mouth. Whether we like it or not, the events of June 25, 2009 will be analyzed to the bone; and not only that but it wouldn’t be anything less than ordinary for aspects of Michael’s life irrelevant to the case to be brought up and sensationalized again.

Now, aside from the rant, the matter at hand is the prosecution of Dr. Murder.

Expert on Michael Jackson’s Death Predicts Dr. Murray will be Ordered Tuesday to Stand Trial

An expert on the use of propofol who has been interviewed by leading publications on the death of Michael Jackson is confident Dr. Conrad Murray will be ordered to stand trial at the Jan. 4 preliminary hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court. “There is no question in my mind but that the prosecution will be able to establish probable cause that Dr. Murray should stand trial in the death of Michael Jackson,” predicts Dr. Barry Friedberg, M.D. and author of Getting Over Going Under: 5 Things You MUST Know Before Anesthesia

There is no question in my mind but that the prosecution will be able to establish probable cause that Dr. Murray should stand trial in the death of Michael Jackson Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 3, 2011

How will the Jackson family get justice for Michael’s death? Will they get justice if Dr. Conrad Murray is bound over for trial at Tuesday’s preliminary hearing January 4th at Los Angeles County Superior Court?

But will the Jackson family feel justice is obtained if Dr. Murray stands trial, is ultimately convicted, and sentenced to four years in prison?

Prominent anesthesiologist Dr. Friedberg, who has been quoted as a propofol expert in articles about Michael Jackson’s death in both People and Globe magazines, believes the kind of justice the Jackson family deserves will not result from Tuesday’s hearing or from a trial and sentencing.

Dr. Friedberg gives the following three reasons as support for why he’s convinced Dr. Murray will be ordered to stand trial at the preliminary hearing:

According to Dr. Murray’s own statements, he was not directly observing Jackson when the legendary pop singer stopped breathing.

No evidence of a pulse oximeter (a blood oxygen meter) was apparent in published pictures of Jackson’s bedroom.
A brain monitor could have measured the effects of propofol independently of the benzodiazepines also in his body, sparing Jackson from the unintentional over-medication with propofol that appeared to have caused his breathing to stop.

In his book, Dr. Friedberg writes: “Although he may not have intended to kill Jackson, Murray clearly caused Jackson’s death involuntarily. The only thing more reckless Murray could have done was taking Jackson up in an airplane and pushing him out without a parachute.”

The defense has raised red herrings about the propofol dosage Dr. Murray administered and about whether Michael self-administered, stresses Dr. Friedberg, but all those red herrings have nothing to do with the fundamental issue of physician responsibility.

Let the Countdown to Justice Begin

As we know, it all comes down to the recklessness of Dr. Murder’s care. All we can do is pray that the jury will be able to pick up on the obvious truths, which may more than likely be shadowed by the bs of the defense. WE know a crime was committed. The only thing now is to determine the level of malice involved and putting Murder away.

Once again, it wouldn’t be anything short from ordinary for the media to try to recreate the circus similar to ’05. It’s to be expected that the immoral sheep we have as reporters will be creating sound bite after sound bite of what the defense says. Only reversed from 2005 where reporters ran out of the court room after the prosecution came up with a fabrication of the truth from a manifestation of their disgusting twisted minds.

It is up to us: to offer prayer for the strength of the Jackson family and for ourselves seeing that we will more than likely be tested by the media and their horrendous agenda(s). And not only that, but to remain faithful to Michael and his message just as many of us have throughout other tribulations in his life.

For here we are, about to embark on another chapter of the Legacy of Michael Jackson vs. the medialoids. Let the countdown to justice begin!

Bringing in the New (Updated)

Just one of the wonderful thoughts bringing in the new year!

Yesterday did not only ring in 2011, but provided another triuphant image towards Michael’s legacy. In China yesterday, the unveiling of Michael’s statue brightened his family and his fans’ hearts all around the world.

“Loyal Chinese fans of the late “King of Pop” Michael Jackson have donated 158,000 yuan ($23,000) to erect the first bronze statue of their idol in China.

This project has been approved by the local government and will be completed and installed on January 1, 2011, said Huang Zhenhui, the head of the project. The statue will stand in Guangzhou Sculpture Park in Guangzhou City, capital of south China’s Guangdong Province.

Huang said they will hold a ceremony on the inaugural day and raise money for charities, which will spread Jackson’s message of love.

“I’m thrilled to see our dreams will finally come true,” Huang said.

Famous sculptor Lu Zhenkang has been designing the statue.”

Indeed, the statue placed smiles in the hearts of many; the statue will help raise money for a charity, topping things off nicely.

As for the less obvious significance of the 1/1/11 and the unveiling, check out Seven’s amazingly insightful piece on the meaning behind the symbolism in yesterday’s unveiling.

Apparently the fans in China awaiting the unveiling had quite the surprise. It seems a curious and mischevious wind had a mind of its own and aided in the early unveiling of the statue. Certainly something (or someone) was acknowleging and thanking.

“The statue was unveiled accidentally. It was originally scheduled to be unveiled on 2011.1.1 at 11.11am. When one of the guests was speaking, suddenly a strong wind blew away the red boxes (the “dream boxes”) which hide the statue. The crowd caught in surprise were screaming while watching the boxes collapsed and “MJ emerged from within”. Some fans cried witnessing this happened before their eyes. Then, the guest speaker said, “You see, MJ himself couldn’t hold on and stand out in front of us”. It was also confirmed later by the organizer that the “unveil” wasn’t pre-planned. Anyway, the fans were glad that the act of the wind seems perfect. It blew away all the boxes except leaving “a big wall behind Michael’s back”.”
